Badminton
Mid-week training and Saturday competition against other APS/AGSV schools, held at various venues.

Bike Fitness
Mid-week and Saturday mornings based at the Carey Sports Complex. Students access Carey-owned mountain bikes and helmets and train on Yarra bike trails around Bulleen.

Carey First Aid Squad
Students learn First Aid and become part of the Carey First Aid Squad at Saturday sport matches.

No mid-week commitment is required, the commitment is from 8.30am- 12.30pm at Bulleen on Saturday APS Sport days. This time consists of two hours classroom training and two hours practise in the field.

Coxswain

In rowing, the coxswain is responsible for steering the boat, and co-ordinating the power and rhythm of the rowers.

Crews train twice during the week and Saturday morning at the City Boat Shed. Due to restricted opportunities a trial process may be required.

Cricket
Mid-week training and Saturday competition against other APS schools, with half-day or full-day games depending on the age and standard.

Girls will play in boys' teams.

Diving 
Mid-week training and Saturday competitions for experienced divers. A dive clinic is held for beginners on Saturdays.

Fitness Club
Mid-week and Saturday mornings in the Carey gym at Kew campus, with our Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Futsal (Indoor Soccer)
Mid-week training at Carey Bulleen and Saturday competitions against other APS schools.

Karate

Mid-week and Saturday mornings based at the Carey Kew Campus. Students will train in traditional Goju-Ryu karate with a qualified instructor. Beginners welcome; no previous experience is necessary.

Rowing— Competitive 
Year 8 students are introduced to rowing as part of their PE program, they can then choose Competitive Rowing as their summer sport from Term 4 in Year 8.

Mid-week training at the city boat sheds and Saturday competitions at locations including the Yarra, Nagambie and Geelong.

Senior School Musical
Auditions for performers take place in Terms 3 and 4 of the previous year. For those who are successful, the Senior School Musical is their summer co-curricular elective. The demands of such a production make it difficult for students to participate in another summer activity.

Mid-week training at Carey Bulleen and Saturday competitions (for competent swimmers) at various APS venues. Please note this is not a Learn to Swim program.
