APS Sport

Basketball

Mid-week training and Saturday morning competition against other APS/AGSV schools, held at various venues.

Cross Country
Years 7-12, Girls and Boys

Mid-week training and Saturday APS competition and Athletics Victoria events including the La Trobe Road Relays and the Individual Cross Country Titles at Bundoora.

Football AFL

Years 7-12, Girls and Boys

Mid-week training and Saturday competition against other APS schools, held at various venues.

Hockey
Years 7-12, Girls and Boys

Mid-week training and Saturday competition against other APS/AGSV schools, held at various venues.

Netball
Years 7-12, Girls only

Mid-week training and Saturday competition against other APS/AGSV schools, held at various venues.

Soccer
Years 7-12, Girls and Boys

Mid-week training and Saturday competition against other APS/AGSV schools, held at different venues each week.

Non-APS Activities

Fencing

Years 7-12, Girls and Boys

Open to beginners/experienced fencers. Mid-week and Saturday training held at Box Hill Indoor Sports Centre. Selected students can compete in the Schools Epee League.

Fitness Club

Years 10-12, Girls and Boys

Structured fitness programs incorporating strength, stability and cardio based activities, written and coached by qualified Strength and Conditioning staff.

Mid-week session and Saturday morning session in the Carey gym at Kew campus.

Please note, you cannot choose Fitness Club in both Summer and Winter seasons.

Mixed Martial Arts

Years 8-12, Girls and Boys

Our Mixed Martial Arts option offers students a dynamic and disciplined introduction to one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. This unit focuses on the fundamentals of various martial arts disciplines including but not limited to boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Students will learn basic techniques, self-defence skills, and movement patterns in a safe, controlled, and respectful environment. Emphasis is placed on fitness, coordination, mental focus, and sportsmanship. The unit encourages personal growth, resilience, and confidence while fostering a strong sense of discipline and respect for others. Mid-week training and Saturday mornings.
