Year 2 Outdoor Education

Year 2 Outdoor Education

Common Unit

Year Level Description

Students in Year 2 will participate in an extended day excursion to Badger Weir, near Healesville. They will explore the beautiful Mountain Ash forest in small groups, learning about the significance of these native trees and their vital role within the local environment.

The Coranderrk Creek flows through the park and provides the perfect opportunity for students to participate in a structured creek-play session designed to promote curiosity, sensory exploration and problem solving.

This program introduces students to a natural environment beyond the inner suburbs, supporting adventure, environmental learning, and the development of confidence through positive outdoor experiences.
