Tours
Students at Carey have the opportunity to participate in regular regional, interstate and overseas music tours. Interstate and overseas tours are planned well in advance and Middle School musicians are selected to tour with the Middle School Play each year in November. Theatre Orchestras
Both Middle and Senior Schools present a musical each year. For each production, a theatre orchestra comprised mostly of students is a critical part of the company. The size and instrumentation of the theatre orchestra depends on the requirements of each show and, as such, it varies from year to year.
The experience of performing in a theatre orchestra is very different from the concert stage and is another important facet of Carey’s expansive performing arts program.
