This subject is selected at the recommendation of Learning Development teachers. Unit Description
This unit is designed for students who have specific literacy needs. Each topic provides techniques or strategies for students to become more effective writers, speakers, listeners, readers, viewers and thinkers. Material is drawn from a wide range of literature, everyday texts and film. Students are encouraged to develop the expression of ideas in both their written and spoken language. Assessment
An ungraded subject, all assessments aim to meet the needs of the individual student’s literacy skills, focussing on the development of foundation literacy and communication skills.
