Drama: Making Performance
Elective Unit
Unit Description
Drama helps students to be curious, collaborative and communicate effectively.
This course fosters student creativity, as they work collaboratively to devise original theatre works. In the first term of this course, students work collaboratively to create an original Radio Play. They participate in workshops to explore vocal skills to create characters and experiment with creating sound effects.
In the second half of this unit, students learn about slapstick humour and use this as the basis for a Silent Movie. Students rehearse, film and edit an original short film which uses physical comedy and music to entertain the audience.
Please note: Students are required to choose at least one Elective unit from Drama or Music either in Year 8 or Year 9.
