Unit Description
This unit examines both the positive and the negative impacts of global tourism. Students develop their skills in mapping, interpretation and analysis by looking at issues related to tourist destinations around the world, with a focus on less economically developed countries. The unit expands the students' knowledge of the global world by looking at the Australian Government's warnings in relation to travelling overseas and in some cases, the operations of the UN, humanitarian organisations and transnational corporations.
