Unit Description
This elective involves the development of the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that inform and encourage students to participate in economic activities personally, locally, nationally, regionally and globally. For young Australians to actively participate in their community, it is important they develop an understanding of the effects that household, and business and government decisions have upon aspects of daily life. Issues considered include income inequality, sustainability and environment issues, the functioning of markets. Such aspects will be considered through traditional economic theory and the doughnut theory of sustainable human development.
