C-Change City Challenge Program

Unit Description
The City Challenge Week extends the learning that the students have experienced throughout the year with their involvement in the C-Change Program. By transferring the centre of their learning from Kew to the central activities district (CAD) of Melbourne, with the ‘home base’ being the Yarra Yarra Rowing Club boat shed (1 Boathouse Drive, Melbourne).
This immersive experiential program aims to provide the opportunity for students explore the city of Melbourne, enhance their critical thinking and reflection skills, whilst also developing their independence, personal responsibility and community mindedness. The students will be immersed in activities that require them to:

Students will be encouraged to challenge themselves and each other to:

Think - about the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that they have already developed throughout the C-Change Program

Question - their understanding of the C-Change themes and how they relate to their experiences throughout the week

Wonder - about the possibilities and opportunities with the Melbourne CBD as their classroom

Act - to use their C-Change knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to make a positive difference in shaping the future
