Course Description
Accelerated VCE Biology is a year-long Year 10 elective in which students complete Units 1 and 2. The course explores how organisms regulate their functions, how inheritance shapes biological diversity, and how scientific investigations contribute to biological understanding.
Students develop the knowledge, practical skills, analytical thinking and study routines required for senior Biology. Learning includes experimental work, data analysis, research, bioethical inquiry and scientific communication, with assessment aligned to the expectations of VCE Biology.
The program prepares students for progression into VCE Biology Units 3 and 4 or further study within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
