Course Description
Accelerated VCE Psychology is a year-long Year 10 elective in which students complete Units 1 and 2. The course examines how behaviour and mental processes are shaped, and how biological, psychological and social factors influence the way people think, feel and act.
Students develop the knowledge, research skills, analytical thinking and study routines required for senior Psychology. Learning includes scientific investigations, data analysis, ethical research, case studies and the evaluation of psychological evidence, with assessment aligned to the expectations of VCE Psychology.
The program prepares students for progression into VCE Psychology Units 3 and 4 or further study within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
