Elective Unit
Course Description
Earth and Environmental Science is a year-long Year 10 elective modelled on VCE Environmental Science Units 1 and 2. The course explores ecological relationships, Earth systems, sustainability and the interactions between human activity and the environment.
Students develop practical, analytical and fieldwork skills through investigations, data analysis, case studies and environmental inquiry. The course is well suited to students with an interest in ecology, environmental systems and contemporary sustainability challenges.
The program prepares students for progression into VCE Environmental Science Units 3 and 4, supports future study in IB Biology, and provides a strong foundation for related senior Science pathways.
