A Special Year — the Beginning of Formal Education

Prep is a special year, the beginning of formal education. A shared learning space supports students to transition from Kindergarten to School with ease. The space is set up for students with stimulating play activities related to investigations in the classroom and the local native environment. Students are provided with opportunities to work in small groups for focussed learning, as well as whole class activities. The learning area fosters both imaginative and co-operative play and investigation. This environment, along with expert teachers, maximises the opportunity for children to thrive in their first year at school.
