About the Learning Area
The Community and Religious Education program provides students with an understanding of the Christian faith and the way it relates to our community life, focussing on significant events in the Christian calendar.
The CARE curriculum is based on the Vardy model, which contains a balance of Old and New Testament stories. Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, Festivals and other world religions. Students are given opportunities to think through varied life issues and explore the ways in which these can be applied to their lives. Students examine ways they can make a difference in the world, especially for those less fortunate than themselves.
We encourage students to believe that they are of infinite value and that they are important to God, who has given them special gifts and talents.
